The Sound Space was created from this universal human truth — that music is not an extracurricular pursuit, but a fundamental experience that shapes how we learn, connect, regulate emotions, and belong.
Rooted in the depth and discipline of Indian classical music, yet designed for contemporary global contexts, The Sound Space is a holistic ecosystem that works across schools, social impact organisations, healthcare institutions, corporate environments, and public cultural platforms. Across every vertical, music is used intentionally — as a tool for attention, emotional intelligence, cultural continuity, and collective expression.
THE FOUNDERS
Kamakshi & Vishala Khurana
The Sound Space is the vision and life’s work of Kamakshi and Vishala Khurana, sisters whose relationship with music began in early childhood and evolved through years of rigorous training, performance, and teaching in Indian classical traditions.
The Sound Space emerged from a conscious intention to deconstruct the perceived complexity of Indian music without diluting its depth, and to offer music as an experience-led, inclusive, and life-enhancing practice — relevant not only in India, but across cultures and geographies.
Today, Kamakshi and Vishala work closely with schools, NGOs, multinational corporations, healthcare institutions, cultural bodies, and international collaborators, redefining how traditional Indian music can support education, wellbeing, and social impact.
